Some will call this a mid-life crisis. Others will say “finally, he’s growing up.” Haters will say “he couldn’t hack it on his own”.  Champions will say  “it’s about damn time.”

But the reality is, this is not about me.

It’s about the people, both cohorts and customers, whom I’ve had a pleasure of working with for the past 15+ years. You see, I had a revelation a couple of years ago… technically two revelations; one as it related to the people I work with, and one about the people I work for.

“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Mark Twain’s famous quote balances both cliché and truth. However, my realization adds a twist to this Huckleberry saying. It goes

“Find a job you enjoy doing, with people you love doing it with, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”

I realized that it’s not the work I love, it’s the people I’m doing the work with. So, we have all come together and created a unified Team Lightspeed. A team that knows how to flat out get it done. A team that can go toe-to-toe with the best event, creative, marketing and communications professionals out there. A team that I can honestly say I love working with.

What does this mean to you, our clients?

That brings me to the second revelation. I get to partner with and work on behalf of amazing individuals at some amazing companies. You, our clients, satisfy the “find a job you enjoy doing” and you are a major part of the reason we’re able to build Lightspeed to what it has become today.

For you, this  unified Team Lightspeed means much more of the same that you’ve grown accustomed to. Awesome people, exceeding expectations, over-delivering and helping make you and your company shine.
