Gangs of New York II: We All Scream for Ice Cream
If you’ve never seen the 2002 movie Gangs of New York, do yourself a solid and make it happen. Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, Cameron Diaz, Liam Neeson in a non-Taken role and all masterfully directed by Martin Scorsese, it’s truly worthy of all it’s acclaim.
Set in 1846, the title is self-explanatory. It’s about gangs in New York fighting for and protecting their turf.
There is still a bloody and brutal gang war going on in New York. One that has spanned years and shows no sign of stopping.
We are talking, of course, about the ice cream truck war.
Two rival ice cream truck companies locked in furious battle over lucrative city streets. Someone paid a costly price to sell you that Choco Taco.
Your job should be like that.
Not so much with the murder and furious beatings, rather a desire to protect and grow what you have built. You have to be willing to fight for what you want. You win that fight by bringing new and exciting ideas to your customers and by delivering on your promises. Every day.
